This is Gertz's first solo bass album, produced on his own label, Open Mind Jazz, with the beautiful tone of an 1880 Czek-Carved Upright Bass. The album is dedicated to the great bassist and living legend, Dave Holland. With regards to the sound of this album, Jerry Bergonzi says, "Prepare to be transported to the pure music channel."
