Walkin is an instructional book and video on walking bass technique. The book explains the various approach notes and scale type lines 
as well as fingerings for two octave scales and modes.Arpeggios and chord spellings also shown. There are over sixty examples of chord progressions to blues and jazz,standards.
The bass lines use the techniques described 
in the beginning and are melodically interesting.  The video shows the author with his basses (acoustic and electric), demonstrating the bass line techniques described in the book along with various rhythmic articulations and embellishments
.He also explains how to count phrases in song forms and play ballads and up tempos.
